We took a trip over to Knebworth House as it is part of the Historic Houses, so it was 'free' entry for us. This is my second visit and it is a lovely place, but they never seem to weed the flower beds, grass is cut and bigger shrubs/hedges seem to get trimmed. They have some lovely perennial flower beds that just need some love.
There is a maze that was great fun, and a dinosaur trail, so lovely for children, and it has a huge play park away from the house near the entrance.
I would def recommend a walk around especially if you have HHA membership, they do tours around the house, which I have yet to do. You need to go with the eyes of being a large park for a lovely walk and maybe a picnic or they have a restaurant.
I only had a tea and cake this time, think the cake could have been much improved, guessing bought in, or made several days ago.....but the little garden outside (also not weeded) is a nice place to sit.
I think the lunch choice looked more interesting than my previous visit.
