St Ives....and also a spot of fabrics in Cambridgeshire

grey day in St Ives
Continuing my series of fabric shopping, so maybe a bit specialist for the out and about in from Ampthill, I have continued my ventures into Cambridgeshire...

I knew that there was a shop in St Ives, Escape and Create, so decided to take a trip to there - not been in many years.  St Ives is a small town next to the river, and you can walk along the river, and there are a few eating places right near to the river.

There is also a little island that you can wander around just across a bridge.  Sadly as we arrived it started to rain, so we didn't spend long there, and intend to return on a sunny day and when my husband is back to full health.  So will have o up date this post once I have discovered further.

The shop had a good selection of fabrics for dressmakers and also quilters and crafters, it was a surprisingly large shop.  Lots of cotton prints - see their website.

Then on the way back I popped into HabbyDays which is in Eaton Socon on the edge of St Neots, just off the A1, they also have a good selection of fabrics for dressmakers and quilters, it has grown a lot since I went there over a year ago....just a couple of snaps as a taster for you.
